We believe in prayer for and by the individual; for and by the congregation: intercessory prayer at its best. As concerns are known, we have several ways that we inform others of each request. Our prayer chains reach over two thirds of our congregation through email and phone simultaneously. Many prayer requests are also posted in our weekly bulletin for prayer time on Sundays. People are encouraged to use these as part of their prayer life at home as well. We believe God hears and answers all our prayers, we just need to be bold enough to trust His answers as they come.
Although the style of church music changes over time, our goal remains the same as in the past: to have music that uplifts our Lord and engages our hearts in worship. We incorporate songs from the past and the present to assist us in that goal. Our praise team of vocalists, piano, percussion and guitars share together in using their gifts to connect the congregation to this process of worship. We welcome young and young at heart that God has gifted in music to take part in the praise team as God leads.
Community Youth Group
Community Youth Group is a time for students in middle and high school to gather with peers for fun activities, intentional Bible study, and to just hang out in a safe environment. This ministry is a collaborative effort with another church in the neighborhood, Woodland Park Chapel.
During our Sunday morning worship service, we offer Children’s Church. Students from kindergarten through 5th grade start their time with everyone else in our Sunday service. Then during the sermon time, they are dismissed. They learn about God in a fun environment through age-appropriate Bible studies and activities.
